The research group Planning, Institutions and Transforming spaces (PIT) was recently rewarded with two major NWO research budgets.
In the second round of the theme Sustainable Accessible Randstad 20 research consortia were competing, of which three were selected. In two of these, PIT researchers cooperated.
In one, a four year Postdoc is financed that - together with researchers in Wageningen, Utrecht, Nijmegen and TNO - will research the implementation of climate knowledge to support sustainable spatial and mobility strategy making for the Randstad.
In the second research, a PhD candidate - together with researchers from Delft, Twente and the VU - will research transitions in land use, location choice, multimodal transport networks, mobility behavior and -policy.
